v1.2.0 - Hints are now a thing!
Don't Step Wrong » Devlog

The two weeks of the Jam were crucial for me to gather as much feedback as possible regarding the gameplay. And one of the most common requests in the comments was for hints to be scattered throughout the levels, so players wouldn't have to figure everything out from scratch.
That said, version 1.2.0 features this system implemented as follows:
- The first three stages, whose hints are revealed as a tutorial, have no hints;
- The remaining stages have 1 to 3 hints depending on their difficulty;
- Each hint requires a minimum number of valid blocks to be enabled, encouraging players to try at least a little;
- When players reach the minimum number of valid blocks for each hint, its button is enabled;
- Valid blocks are cumulative only within the same level. That is, if the player falls and starts over, the valid blocks previously stepped on will be counted.
If you played and managed to complete levels before this version, congratulations, you're a hardcore player!
